Ask someone where they might think the place to install solar panels is and you’re likely to be told to do it down south. A group of New Jersey solar installation experts feel that doing so close to home is a smarter option. They’re predicting the total amount of installed solar panels in the state to grow by quite a bit over the next five to ten years time.
When solar panels are installed on a local basis, they can be directly matched to the demand without having to sacrifice anything in terms of line loss. Huge industrial-scale generation facilities can make enormous amounts of power, but much of this ends up lost as heat due to the resistance experienced by electricity flowing through the grid. At the same time, it’s very difficult to get power to where it’s needed the most. If people suddenly require huge supplies of power in a specific area, then it’s not always possible to get it to them.
New Jersey solar installation specialists put panels right on the lot where homeowners live, which means very little electricity gets lost in the process. When residents aren’t using power, their systems charge up battery units that provide electricity when the sun isn’t shining. That being said, local industrial applications are quickly becoming the fastest-growing area for solar panel adoption.
As a result, New Jersey solar installation specialists might soon be putting up additional panels on top of traffic signals and other freestanding poles that could support them.
